Useful information for clients


Deposits to Your Account:

  • Please make checks payable to “Pershing, LLC” or to yourself. 
  • Write your account number on the front of the check.
  • If made payable to yourself, then please write “For Deposit Only” on the back of the check.  
  • Deposits may be mailed to:

    Falmouth, Maine 04105

Please note: Checks made payable to Dow Investment Group, LLC cannot be deposited and, so, must be returned.


IRA Deposits: Please indicate the tax year of the contribution on the face of the check and the account number.


Stock Certificates:

Please write your account number conspicuously on the face of the certificate.

On the back of the certificate, where it reads “I hereby constitute and appoint _______________ Attorney….” write “PERSHING, LLC” in the blank, so that the certificate reads:

“I hereby constitute and appoint PERSHING, LLC Attorney….”


If there is special paperwork involved (such as if the owner is deceased or for a trust), please staple the paperwork to the certificate.

For your records, please photocopy the front and back of all certificates.  Please notify your financial consultant that the shares are being mailed to Pershing.


IRA Contribution Limits:

Year          Age 49 & Below         Age 50 & Above

2007              $4,000                     $5,000

2008              $5,000                     $6,000


IRA Distributions:

Please complete an IRA Distribution Request form and return it to us.


Terminate Non-Essential Mailings:

Pershing is required to forward reports to you that are generated by the companies you own. Most usually, the reports come in the familiar blue plastic wrapping.

If you prefer not to receive these non-essential mailings, there is a way to stop them. You will need Internet access and one of the mailings for each of your accounts.

Your Enrollment Number is found on the address page of your annual report mailing. Enter the enrollment number and click the “SUBMIT” button under “Enrollment or Reactiviation.” Following the subsequent directions, and the mailings should soon cease.
